August 2009 Archives

As requested I'm starting this thread to get some feedback from our bloggers on this matter.

D writes;
I am not sure if this is where I need to ask a question of Portland but it seems a good enough place to start. I have a deep concern for the hungry in Portland and my question would be "Would a kitchen that served a free meal to those of need be welcome here in Portland?" Would local churches and businesses be of help?

thank you - D.

This blogger cared enough to ask and obviously cares about our community and individuals in Portland that may be experiencing difficult times. Although many of us are blessed with hot meals every day, I'm sure there are some that aren't as fortunate. What are your thoughts?

New Business in Portland - The Inside Scoop!

| 14 Comments

The Inside Scoop is located at Bottom View Farms
just off Hwy 76 about 1/2 mile west of Jackson road.

We all too often discuss businesses outside of our town, and we've all said we need some place new to patronize. Try taking the family for a dish of Ice cream, an Ice cream cone, milk shake, hot fudge sundae, or a wonderful banana split. Plenty of seating to be had so you can sit down and enjoy, the place was clean as a whistle. You won't be disappointed.

Be sure to ring the bell on your way out the door letting them know that you enjoyed the service and food. I was surely impressed, service was wonderful, and you cannot beat what you get for the price!

Here's wishing The Inside Scoop great success!!
