Could 2012 be the end of the Internet as we know it??

I found this on another site and found it to be quite interesting.

Bell Canada and TELUS (formerly owned by Verizon) employees officially confirm that by 2012 ISP's all over the globe will reduce Internet access to a TV-like subscription model, only offering access to a small standard amount of commercial sites and require extra fees for every other site you visit. These 'other' sites would then lose all their exposure and eventually shut down, resulting in what could be seen as the end of the Internet.

I'm really glad someone posted this.

It's about time we start raising awareness.

I'm a 16 year old junior at PHS, and am fully aware of this happening.

And more people need to be aware of it.

Thank you to whoever paid attention to this.

Chiren, Tania, and the rest of the gang really know what they're talking about.

We can save net neutrality.

Go ahead and make Portland a speed trap! That will give me and others just another reason to go somewhere else to shop and spend money elsewhere. I have recently began doing more shopping in Portland to save gas and to support more of the local businesses to keep tax dollars in Portland and hopefully (!) improve the shopping choices but I will not drive through a speed trap for what Portland has to offer!

But really, wouldn't it take just one internet provider having unlimited access to take over and win all internet users?
