People with Special Needs - Special Friends Camp

Special Friends Camp will be held Monday, June 2 through Friday, June 13, 2008 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Richland Gym, 301 Portland Blvd. Registration will be held on June 2 beginning at 8:30 a.m. The camp is free and open to all ages with special needs. Daily activities include swimming, crafts, games and entertainment provided by members of the community. For more information, call Nancy Raymond at (931) 676-5543 or Diana Parks at (615) 325-7695.

We are very new to the area and have a Special Needs daughter and would love to attend and get her involved. She is 23 and we would love for her to get together with other Special Needs Friends. We have plans for the time period of the Summer Camp and my wife and I are wondering if there will be any more activities planed? This sounds like such a great thing for our community, I have a question,my son has Autism (Asperger's/High functioning),does anyone know if this considered part of the spectrum of children considered for the program or is it geared more for other special needs children?
