Finally a good place to eat!!
It's not a restaurant but it's by far the BEST place in Portland to eat!!
Has anyone else tried the Taqueria on the 109? The best taco's, I haven't tried the burritos but will be soon.
Thank You Thank You for putting in a good fast food taco shop!!!!

Has anyone tried the new burger place in Franklin. It's called Jetter's and it's a pretty tasty burger and fries. It's in the old Krystal's next to Wal-Mart. Everything is handmade and not too expensive.

Deb - Welcome to the blog
MoMo's did close, they were in white house and had really good food not really sure why they closed because they did a good business.
As for good places to eat in Portland, I think 5-chefs is one of the best in town, however they are only open thru 2pm during the week and noon on Saturdays. As for the rest here we have the typical fast foods plus, 2 mexican restaurants, the diner, 2 chinese, 3 pizza (Godfathers is best) subway, and charlie biggs chicken. Not a whole lot to choose from in town, but Franklin has quite a few spots, T-Rods is pretty good, Burgers on the square everyone talks about, and others I am not familiar with. If you go out towards white house there is a Hollywoods Grill at the corner of Hwy76 and 31W that is good, I understand they are building one of these in Franklin KY also. Going to Gallatin or Hendersonville you have just about everything you need from Logans to Cheddars, to Carabas, they have the works!
One of the biggest problems people have found in Portland is the lack of good sit down places to eat.
Happy Posting - Judy

I am new to Portland and I have been very happy so far everyone has been very sweet. I just found this site and wanted to find some restaurants to try out near here. There was a place posted MoMo's in White House. I have tried to look it up and not having any luck. Did it close up?

I finally saw the taco trailer that is parked across from Xtreme Fitness. Why didn't we have a ribbon-cutting with the Mayor and put it on the cover of the Progressive. We could then use this as a marketing strategy to encourage people from other towns such as Gallatin and White House to travel to Portland and eat at our mobile taco stand!
Oh Portland, Portland, Portland.....
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish someone would put in a good salad bar. I think a salad bar would do good at Hill's.

The taco wagon is great!! Love the chicken burrito. I hope that Portland can keep the taco wagon alive.

Just tried the taco wagon (across from Extreme Fitness) today and it is great!! We will be going back. The taco sauce tastes much better than any of the places we have found around here. I hope it stays around for a while!!
