my sincerly opoligy goes to liberty baptist i did get the name wrong.Very big mistake on my part.I have been so upset over this daycare employee and the manager that didnt turn it in.they should of did drug screening i hope shes never around kids again

FYI
Liberty Baptist does not have a daycare. The daycare in question is off of hwy 109. Please only hold those responsible for wrong doing and not everybody else. Rumors destroy lives.

If the head of the daycare didn't report it, and she knew....that is abuse as far as I'm concerned to cover up something like that.....and they should have lost their license !
The state's not strict enough on daycares,it looks like.

It should have been shut down especially if the director was aware. Either way, if I had a child enrolled there, they would not return. I know finding a good daycare is hard, but this is not a good day care. Just my opinion.

The daycare was not shut down, but the state is keeping a close eye on it. It will lose it's 3-star rating. Also, the director of the daycare is in trouble for not reporting the abuse in the first place.

Was the person who did it fired ?
Was the daycare shut down ?
I don't remember seeing any more details of this other than the pastor's comments of "it's an isolated incident".....I would have liked to have heard stronger words from him about this.
I really feel sorry for people who have to rely on daycares to take care of their children.

Two things from the The Leader tonight.
Did you all see the article about the DARE officer that died ? On my way back from Gallatin tonight, there was a police car at the funeral home with the lights going and a black ribbon and a picture of the officer on the police car....I didn't know him, but thought a lot of you all might have known officer William Glenn Bell.
The other thing was on page 8A -- about the City leaders looking into Portland's future growth.
Portland seems to be looking at "enticing wealthy retirees" to move here. Hmmmmmmm.........other than buying up farm land...what would they do here ???
