In Memory of Captain Glenn Bell
As one of Portland's most highly regarded police officers, Captain Glenn Bell had a positive impact on the City and his unexpected death was a tremendous blow to those who knew and loved him. I hope that Glenn's family, friends, and fellow officers will seek and find comfort from their grief.
Please feel free to share your thoughts, stories and condolences.

I am Glenn's oldest daughter. On behalf of the family, I would like to personally thank everyone for the many kindnesses and expressions of sympathy extended to us during our time of loss. I always knew that my father had lots of friends who loved and respected him. Please accept my sincere thanks for the all the visits, tears, hugs, food, flowers, and memorial contributions to the Portland D.A.R.E program (a program by father believed in with all his heart). To the Portland Police Department and all the surrounding agencies who contributed so much to my father's services, please accept my heartfelt gratitude for honoring my father with your words and actions. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

I am Glenn's second oldest grand daughter. I also want to thank everyone for their kind gestures upon my Papa's passing. His is surely shining down upon us.
I want to say Thank you to his fellow officers, for they lead him through town in true style. I know he would have loved making Portland stand still for the moments that he did that final resting day.
To the public, I thank you for honoring him. For he was, and is the best man in my life.
May God bless you and yours.

Great honest man here and will truely be missed by the community. I remember when I was little he used to come up to my dad's service station there in town and dad would flip open his bullet holder on his gun belt and his bullets would spill out all over the floor. Lot of memory's of Glen and his son for that fact too...Great People all together!!
