I was there for it when it first started. It was really nice..there were a number of cars that had been restored...it was neat to see them. It was really great of the folks at Extreme Fitness to do this...I hope enough people came out that they will have other block parties and events in the future.
If you haven't eaten at the coffeeshop, you should go there sometime...they have great food and desserts !

I drove by Xtreme Fitness as they were breaking down. Wish I had known, I would have went. As far as the rock concert thing, I am ALL FOR IT, Portland has always been home to many great rock musicians. They have just never been given the platform to showcase their talents. I will be there!

FYI - COMING EVENTS IN PORTLAND

As reported in this weeks Portland Progressive

Saturday July 21st - Xtreme Fitness Center features live music at block party:
Beginning at 4pm Saturday in the Ace Hardware parking lot next to the Fitness Center, there will be a Free Live band, Food and an antique car show, People are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs.

July 28th - Portland's 1st Annual Rock Festival at the Richland Park Ampitheater starting at 3pm Free to the Public. Many rock groups are scheduled to perform the event will last into the night.
