Take time out this busy Holiday Season to remember our Soldiers!

soldiersangel.jpg

Please remember our soldiers this Holiday Season. Their Christmas gift to us this year is priceless. It cannot be bought, wrapped or placed under a tree. It is the gift of freedom, paid for with their blood, sweat and tears, and the many sacrifices they make for us, made all the more precious this Holiday Season. On Christmas this year while we are gathered around our Christmas tree, singing Christmas carols and enjoying unforgettable moments with our family, they will be overseas, alone and fighting for the precious freedom we enjoy. While we sit around our tables enjoying our Christmas feast, please take a moment to remember our soldiers and say a little prayer for them. And remember when our children sleep on Christmas Eve night, peacefully in their beds waiting for Santa to come, it is because our soldiers, past and present. I wrote a poem for my soldiers that I am sending in every Christmas card I write them and thought I would share it with you too.......

My Soldier on Christmas

Christmas is a special time of year,
Filled with friends and loved ones and holiday cheer.
But this year will be different for our soldiers far from home,
They won’t spend it with family, they celebrate alone.
We sleep in peace, this Christmas Eve night,
Because of the brave heroes, that are willing to fight.
With dignity and honor, keeping our loved ones safe.
The pride that you bring us shown clearly on our face.
Its time for Christmas dinner, served on this special day,
Please pray for our brave soldiers in a desert, far away.
As we all gather round the Christmas tree,
Take the time to give thanks for those that keep us free.
Cherishing Christmas memories, as if they never went away,
Keeps them close here in our hearts, on this very special day.
When we think of you, our hearts are filled with pride,
Wishing we had you with us by our sides.
Our Christmas wish for you, is to have a great night,
A sweet solitude, away from this fight.
A Peace to fill you and calm your fears,
An Angel blessing to last through the years.
A comfort to know that you’re here in our hearts.
No matter the miles that keep us so far apart.
A Prayer to keep you comfortable and warm,
And to watch over you and keep you safe from harm
No matter how busy my day is, I will always remember,
Our brave soldiers, our heroes, on the 25th of December.

If you would really like to make a difference this Holiday Season, adopt a soldier and offer them your support . Such a simple gift can make such a huge difference in a soldiers life. Here is a link to the support group I belong to.....

The chicken car is owned by a man named scotty. he lives down the road from me and he is a very nice gentleman. although it may seem weird for someone to drive such, i look past that. he's such a nice man.and he owns 2 chicken cars.

I have seen that car several times. We followed it (not intentionally) all the way down 109 into Gallatin Thanksgiving weekend and a white bearded, older man was driving. I see him often driving it in the library area. My husband says it's a pressure cooker...no joke.
