Watt Hardison Portables Decorating Contest

Portables 002.jpg

Watt Hardison had a contest for all the portables over the last couple weeks to see who could decorate it the best. My son's class didn't win, but they made a great effort. When we went to parent conferences yesterday I was completely amazed at how great they all looked. They were decorated with trees, plants, mulch, stones, flowers, garden statues, brick borders, stepping stones, painted rocks, benches and much more. I just wanted to thank the school for doing this contest to decorate the portables and the parents and teachers for their contribution. Everyone did a wonderful job and the results were amazing. It makes such a difference! If you get the chance, stop by and check them out. They worked very hard on them and should be very proud of themselves! I've posted pictures below of some of the portables.

I found Mrs. Pszenitzki`s Portable ( my teacher).
(Mrs. Lusk doesn`t teach any more) The pots are still hanging after Mrs. Lusk left. I think Mrs. Pszenitzki likes them. They make me feel at home when I walk in the portable. Mrs. Pszenitzki does too.

The Middle School...

Every time I talk with other parents about the Middle School they all seem say the same thing...I can't wait until they're in High School!
As crazy as that sounds, I agree. We feel like there is a severe lack of communication and I can't even count the times I've heard from other parents "My son/daughter just got ISS". Now don't misunderstand, I AGREE 100% with discipline but I have heard some of the silliest reasons this year for ISS. The misconduct should fit the punishment or it is going to get to the point that it is no longer affective for those who truley deserve to be there.
