Soccer Coach has class

My boys started playing baseball last year, for the Portland Little League and my experiences with them left me a little weary, to let them join another sports league. I enrolled both of them in soccer and it has been great so far. Enrollment, practice, uniforms, pictures, and games have been so organized. Our family is enjoying this season completely. My son's coach, Bill Rush is an excellent coach! He shows such class during the games, when our team is winning, instead of rubbing there noses in it, he will put the better kids back in defense and move the less experienced kids in front. To go from a baseball league, where you had teams running up the score and being cocky (running across home plate backwards, playing the field 5 feet in front of where they should be, etc) to a soccer league that is truly fair and respectable, has put my faith back in Portland Sports. Thanks for being a great coach!

I had a bad experience with Portland Little League also. It seemed very unorganized and I will not put my daughter in it again.
I had a bad experience with the soccer as well. It was two years ago. She was three and the coach was a joke. She didn't even talk to us at the first meeting and never called us to tell us anything about the practices or games. Her last name was Collins. Luckily, the city of Portland gave my money back to me. Maybe, I will give soccer another chance.
Can anyone recommend a good dance studio in Sumner county? My daughter attended dance classes at Dance Plus in Gallatin. I would not recommend sending children there. My daughter didn't learn much of anything. It was a waste of money and time. I am not a negative person by nature, but I have not had any luck with extra-curricular activities.

This year's "Soccer" is the best I have ever seen it! It it's more organized & the Coaches have all been great with the kids!!
My daughter is a "Coach" & she is on the Soccer Board. It is nice to hear good comments on Soccer since I know how hard everyone works on it.
I hope this trend will continue for our Youth to enjoy!!!

As a member of the Portland Soccer Club Board, I am glad to hear that you have had a great experience. We have tried to change things from the way that they were in the past. So Far everything has run really smooth and we are proud of all of our Coaches and Players. We have a lot of new Board Members this year and all of us are working hard to make it a Great Season for Eveyone. Thanks So much For the compliment.

My child did play under coach Rush and love him, she is older and move to the U11-U13 league,
I agree with JC he is fine human and so are the the rest of the coaches in this league, they donate their time and take their family time to coach and help our children, I think we all owe them gratitude, I can't say enough good about the league from our coach to Jerry Johns..
