Triplets

triplets.jpg
Above are triplet goats born to one female goat named T.T. owned by James and Diana Zimmerman on East Biggs Road. When I went out to their home I thought I was going to be interviewing the happy family of three human triplets. Instead of being led to a house, I was taken to a stable. The first goat born was a brown male, the second a black male, and the third a white male. They were born July 5.

Below is a picture taken from a really unusual call last Friday. It is a little gross, so if you don't like gross stuff you may want to pass this one by.

I received a call from a gentleman on Austin Branch Road who claimed to have found something most unusual in the road outside his home.
I drove out there and he showed me this mystery creature in the roadway. Here is what he showed me.

He said his dog had been barking all night in the direction of this thing in the road. The rock around it looks like some sort of volcanic rock. A visitor from another planet or just more terrestrial littering?

Living out in the country toward Oak Grove, we've become used to dog owners who allow their big dogs to roam the neighborhood. So far, most the only problem we've had with them is that the dogs are absolute filthy.

Today, however, I got out of my car with my 5 year old only to have my neighbors yell from their back door to watch out for the pit bull that was coming toward me. My neighbor was watching from his back step with his hunting rifle to be sure nothing happened to his smaller beagle. The pit bull (a male) was very friendly and even allowed me to take it's collar so my terrified little boy could get in the house. Long story short - if you know anyone in the Parker Road area who owns a pit bull, you should warn them to keep it in their own yard. Pit bulls have gotten a lot of bad press and we have a lot of neighbors with guns who will shoot first and ask questions later.
